Teletubbies

Ancient episodes of student favourite Teletubbies suddenly started being repeated in 2015, their atrocious technical quality laid bare for all to see on today’s high definition sets – yet the BBC refuse to re-screen other “classic” content because it’s not up to scratch. Huh? Ah, then the truth is revealed, that it’s not just that CBeebies bend over backwards to every whim of Anne “Bodysuit” Wood, but they are there as a taster for a whole new series in 1080i HD glory. Yet curiously this series is also showing on CBeebies, rather than slated for the relaunched online-only BBC Three which surely better suits the historic target demographic. — David
