Anarchic monster school-room fun as it appears that Peppa Pig and friends’ playground has been sold off to developers, but at least seems to have been put to constructive use. Andrew Scott’s narration proves he’s not too typecast as Sherlock’s Moriarty (although it’s impossible to hear him without connecting the two shows, he’s still not as sinister as Sarah & Duck’s Roger Allam who will never be heard the same after his turn on The Missing), and Kathy Burke is the ideal fit as the mouthy monster schoolmistress. Certainly one of the more encouraging emanations from CBeebies in recent times, with the emphasis rightly on fun – all too often forgotten in their pursuit of worthiness. — David
