Steadily evolving cookery show. Katy Ashworth – better in the CBeebies house than in the kitchen – entertains a group of Ritalin-dosed children for an afternoon, while they cook something organic. In later series, she erects a gazebo and finishes each show with a couple of cartwheels. The songs are hopeless (even more so since the unnecessary truncation of 'Roll Up Your Sleeves', which now barely rhymes and makes little sense). Worse still, Katy comes across rather like a nursery teacher who has two hours to kill and only thirty minutes of scheduled activity: this manifests in excessive padding where the kids are encouraged to adopt ridiculous accents and emulate kitchen noises. It doesn't help that they're so impeccably behaved, with composure bordering on the freakish. Can we stick her in a kitchen with six ADHD diagnoses and see how she gets on? — James
