Blaze and the Monster Machines

Surprisingly bearable formulaic animation, basically Tree Fu Tom crossed with Dora but with cars, and a scientific/mathematical angle. We keep expecting the Super Lift-O spell to be invoked to beat the baddies for good (or at least until the next episode, anyway) but then remember they’re Crusher and Pickle rather than the Mushers. Of course ‘surprisingly bearable’ doesn’t necessarily equate to ‘remotely memorable’, so I’ll leave it there, except to say our son loves it. — David
